Madiha is a peaceful tropical village on Sri Lanka's southern coast, where lush greenery, quiet beaches and one of the region's best surf breaks create a truly special atmosphere. While many nearby destinations have become increasingly busy, Madiha has remained authentic, relaxed and full of local charm. Unlike many beach towns along the south coast, it's one of the few places not built around the main road, making it ideal for leisurely walks and exploring on foot. You'll find a handful of cosy cafés and restaurants, yoga studios, surf schools and one of the area's most beautiful snorkelling spots, while still being just a short drive from the south coast's most popular attractions.

Whether you're looking for adventure or simply a slower pace of life, Madiha offers the best of both worlds. Spend your mornings surfing world-class waves or snorkelling alongside sea turtles, explore the coastline by scooter, or enjoy a yoga class just a short walk from your villa. Slow afternoons are best spent at one of the village's cosy cafés, watching surfers from the beach or discovering hidden corners of the surrounding coastline. And if you're in the mood for a lively evening, the south coast's most iconic beach venue, Doctor's House, is within walking distance.
Thanks to its central location, Madiha is also the perfect base for exploring Sri Lanka's south coast. Popular destinations such as Mirissa, Weligama, Ahangama and Galle are all within easy reach, allowing you to experience the region's vibrant beach towns before returning to the peaceful atmosphere of your private villa.
